Charles De Kunffy
Charles de Kunffy can best be described as
“a gentleman and a scholar,” and most importantly, an indomitable ambassador for the horse.

Trained in the classical tradition, Charles is a firm believer in schooling the horse in a comprehensive system of training, including cross-country, jumping, and dressage. Charles has also written six books on the classical dressage tradition and is working on two more. His experience as a dressage judge, trainer, and author make him one of the most sought-after dressage masters and clinicians today.

His equestrian articles are well known on many continents and were published by some of the finest equestrian magazines.
Heather Moffett
Heather has trained for many years with classical teachers, including Belgian Capt Desi Lorent, a student of Portuguese Maestro, Nuno Oliveira, but specialising in the teaching of the Classical Seat, and refined aids. Heather then went on to train with Dr Margaret Cox, who grew up in Germany, training in German classical methods, and latterly, with Mestre Luis Valenca Rodrigues, in Portugal. Chiefly following the French school of classical equitation, which focuses on dressage as an art form, rather than as a competition sport, Heather is however best known as a remedial teacher of riding and an authority on the Classical Seat.
Andrew Day
Andrew Day BHSAI
Andrew started his equestrian career as a three-day event rider. As a Dressage trainer, he has trained his own horse to Grand Prix. He is based in Nottinghamshire with his wife Annette and his four children, who are all following in their father's equestrian footsteps! He gives lectures and clinics all over the UK and is a specialist in the biomechanics of the horse.

From the age of 19, Andrew was a successful international Three Day Event rider, competing at Badminton, Burghley and representing Great Britain abroad.

With increasing fascination for dressage Andrew went to Germany to train with Dr. Christian Stampehl (Herbert Rehbein and Bubby Gunter)

Andrew pioneered much of the early research into postural biomechanics and his lectures on the subject are highly praised and well attended. He is a guest lecturer for Nottingham University on the subject.

Sylvia Loch
Sylvia Loch is my hereoine, I read her book The Classical Seat, when I was 12 and it changed my life. Sylvia started with ponies aged 8 and by the age of 15 was teaching children and their parents. Originally a keen hunter and jumper, she became
involved with classical dressage when she first landed on Portuguese soil in l969 and fell in love with the Lusitano horse.

Sylvia is the Founder and President of the Lusitano Breed Society of GB. and is still teaching and training to High School Level today. She is also an instructor of the Portugese School of Equestrian Art and Founder of the Classical Riding Club which is global.

Too numerous to list are her sell-out Clinics and Lecture-Demos
which have taken her all over the UK and abroad from New Zealand to Brazil, Australia to Canada and throughout the USA.

She has ridden and performed for the last 3 years at YOUR HORSE LIVE and still writes for the programme of
The Spanish Riding School when it comes to England
Mastery is the Answer
Horses should be our partners, that we "collaborate" with to bring moving art to life in dressage and demonstrate speed and agility in eventing and jumping.
The Olympic level trainers bring dozens of years experience working at the highest levels using a combination of centuries of classical wisdom and modern science. To be the best you have to learn from the best.
“Classical Dressage is the real thing, the original - in all its purity. It should be very simple. It is nothing more nor less than practising dressage with a correct seat and correct training methods.”

“Classical Dressage is correct for the horse, correct for you, and correct for that moment in time. The horse hasn't changed in thousands of years, neither have human beings. We are all ruled by the same physical laws of nature, which is why there is no middle way. Only correct, and incorrect.”

Sylvia Loch : What is Classical Riding

If it is all so simple.....
Why have so many books been written?
Why are there so many controversies?
Why has it only recently become available to ordinary riders?
Why do some people dismiss it totally out of hand?

The answer to this question is more complex, but basically classical dressage has always been available throughout the world but has required some searching out. The main stumbling block has been an elitist image, due probably to a world shortage of national institutions where it is demonstrated and taught. Where once the courts or the military, for the purpose of cavalry, maintained the status quo, nowadays only the truly dedicated maintain the high standards, which were once the preserve of all who taught dressage.

However, on an individual basis, there are still many who teach classical dressage quite unconsciously. These may vary from quite 'ordinary' instructors in 'ordinary' riding schools, to a handful of our top competition riders as seen - very happily - at the London Olympics. Unfortunately not all teachers and trainers are classical. There are some who are positively barbaric but often this is down to ignorance or simply a lack of feel and sensitivity for the horse. When their methods get copied and adopted as correct ones, then it is time to worry.

...I Love THIS Event
Anything with such a calibre of Coach is always amazing

..I love This..

If I have one regret it is that I didn’t meet
Jenku sooner.
I rode my first affiliated dressage test when I was in my 30's - I was terrible! For many years Fleur and I stuck at Novice level believing we weren’t good enough to even contemplate venturing further up the levels. I’m not saying we don’t all need to work on our basics - but that’s the beauty of Jenku. He makes everything seem simple and easy to understand, even at the highest levels. If I had met him 10 years ago, knowing what I know now, I would not have been afraid to try new things and I would have gained much more experience at an earlier stage in my riding career.

..Amazing Connections
Regardless of a student’s talent or accomplishments, Charles never refused help to any rider willing to learn.
He believes that the honor of teaching the traditions of the great equestrian arts commands an instructor to perform with equal dedication and thoroughness whether teaching a beginner or coaching an Olympic gold medalist.
